Introduction: On the 1st of June, we received an email that changed everything. Out of over 12,000 individuals and 900+ teams, our team was selected for the prestigious American Express Makeathon 2023. The excitement and anticipation were palpable as we embarked on a 21-day journey to bring our ideas to life.

An Exciting Challenge: Our project revolved around the revolutionary e-rupi system, and we set out to create a digital wallet named "Hind-epay: The only wallet you need." This app aimed to simplify transactions between service providers and users by allowing the creation and redemption of vouchers without the need for physical visits. The concept was exciting, innovative, and completely new to us.

Navigating New Territory: One of the most thrilling aspects of the project was the tech stack itself. As someone with no prior experience in Android development, I was stepping into uncharted territory. However, armed with the guidance of our mentor, extensive documentation, and the support of my team, I dove headfirst into learning and implementing the required skills.

The Power of Collaboration: Working alongside my virtual friends, we faced challenges and triumphs together. Regular communication and collaboration played a vital role in our progress. Our mentor's unwavering support and dedication to our project were invaluable. Despite their busy schedule, they were available day and night, providing guidance, listening to our ideas, and encouraging us to push boundaries.

Countdown to the Deadline: As the 21-day period drew to a close, sleep became a luxury. We poured our hearts and souls into refining our project, making the necessary improvements, and ensuring its seamless functionality. On the 23rd of June, we submitted our project, filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation.

The Grand Finale: A final presentation awaited us, where we had the opportunity to showcase our hard work to the jury. We dedicated hours to perfecting our presentation, ensuring that every detail was highlighted. The moment arrived, and we delivered a blast of a presentation, capturing the essence of Hind-epay and leaving a lasting impression.

A Journey of Growth: Beyond the competition itself, the Makeathon offered a platform for learning, growth, and cross-college participation. It emphasized the importance of diversity and empowered girls to step forward and showcase their talents. It was an enriching experience that fostered new skills, lifelong friendships, and the belief that anything is possible when we work together.
